Helmet Headset and other mail-in installations
We have some mail-in installation offerings, including helmet headsets and our Kennedy Technology Group GL1500 Gold Wing Aux Retrofit kit. For these types of installations, you ship us the item (helmet or GL1500 radio) and we perform the installation and ship the item back to you.
Complete Installation Service
If you're contemplating adding some of our accessories to your bike, consider a trip to Eureka Springs to have us do the installation for you. Eureka Springs is a fantastic motorcycling destination, featuring the best collection motorcycle roads within a thousand miles. The town is very motorcycle-friendly, with lots of lodging and restaurant choices.
You can be confident that your accessory installation will be clean and professional. Sean Franklin, owner of CycleGadgets.com, directly supervises and trains all of our installers - in fact, Sean even does a lot of the installations himself. There is no one in the industry who is as knowledgeable about the types of electronic accessories that we sell.
You will find our labor rates to be extremely reasonable, not only because our hourly rate is usually less than your dealer's - but also because our intimate knowledge of the products allows us to get the job done in as little as 1/2 or even 1/3 of the time your dealer will charge. Better, cheaper, and a trip to motorcycle paradise in the bargain!
The first step is to consult with one of our technicians about your needs. We'll provide a product quote with an estimate for labor that will cover a "Standard" installation. Custom work is available on an hourly basis, and we have basic fabrication equipment for specialty requests (e.g. custom antenna brackets, light mounts, etc.) Contact us by email or phone to discuss your project and we'll be happy to help.
J&M JMCB-2003 Installation Support Package
We have found that installation of the JMCB-2003 handlebar mounted CB system can be a difficult process, particularly for someone inexperienced with the system. It can take a lot of work and troubleshooting to get all the audio noise out of the system. Unfortunately, while J&M has a broad network of dealers, only a few of us are really familiar with the JMCB-2003 - and you may not be near an installer who is experienced enough to work through any issues he may encounter. Or, you may prefer to "do it yourself" for the sake of experience and future troubleshooting ease, but without experience you could find yourself frustrated trying to work out bugs in the installation.
