#1 - How do I aim my driving lamps?
This method assumes that your headlight is aimed properly.

Park on a level surface with your bike on its service stand about 20 feet from a garage door or wall. Decide whether you want your PIAAs to supplement your high beam or low beam. To aim with the low beam, turn on your headlight and aim one lamp at a time. Cover or unplug the right lamp, and aim the left one so that its spot appears on the wall directly to the left of the headlight's main spot, with the PIAA spot just next to the headlight spot (the main light patterns should be touching). Then, uncover or plug in the right lamp and aim it the same way, but to the right of the headlight spot.

If you are aiming with the high beam, the method is similar, but you may find that you will want to overlap the spots of the PIAAs with your headlight by about 50% to give more light farther down the road.

You will need to make adjustments based on a test ride, but this method will usually get you pretty close.

#2 - Where should the PIAA harness be grounded?
We recommend grounding directly to the battery.

#3 - Are there any legal restrictions with the PIAA 910 lamps?
The PIAA 910s may not be legal in all states - it is up to you to determine whether they are appropriate where you ride. Also, some states require that the lamps be mounted at or below the level of the headlight - in some cases the lamps must be covered if they are above the level of the headlight.

#4 - Will the lamps on an Ezy-Mount bracket hit my fender?
The Ezy-Mount brackets have been designed such that the lamps will not contact the fender under "ordinary" riding conditions. The Ezy-Mount is not intended for off-road use. You may also experience contact with the fender if the front shocks are weak.

#5 - What is the warranty on PIAA lamps and bulbs?
PIAA lamp housings have a lifetime warranty, as does the wiring harness. Driving lamp bulbs and relays have a one-year warranty.

#6 - Does an amber lens mean the lamps are fog lights?
No, the color of the light has little to do with its foul-weather performance. While yellow light will penetrate a little better in fog, the beam pattern is really the difference between a driving lamp and a fog lamp. A round-pattern yellow lamp like the PIAA 1200 will not work much better than a white lamp in bad weather, because it casts too much light upward to be reflected back into the rider's eyes. True fog lamps like the PIAA 520 Fogs have a very wide, flat beam that does not cast any light up to be reflected back.
